No matter who "is to blame", the most important lesson learned here is don't put yourself in a position to have a wreck, especially on lap one.
Yes it's a race, and noone wants to do anything to impede their own forward progress, but you have to think.
K.Lepind should not have assumed Neto would lift, and Neto should not have assumed Lepind would give him room. If these two guys had raced each other many times before, they may have known what the other was going to do. But they hadn't, so they must take into consideration what action someone could do, not what you think they should do......

Anyway, i hope everyone has learned from this, and is ready to move on to Round 2.
The server is always open, and there are some pretty good times posted already.
If anyone wants help with a setup, I have quite a few that were being altered for a similar restriction. I have many XFR, and a few UFR and anyone is welcome to have them.

So far the fastest XFM lap is a 50.05 by me and CRC Tripper. But i know i can do better. Can you?

Im my opinion, and i've seen this situation online and in RL hundreds of times, it should be considered a racing incident, as there was no clear intention for either driver to purposely wreck the other.
K.Lepind could (or should) have considered Neto's position, regardless of overlap simply because it was lap one of fourteen.
Neto was taking the only race line he had available, did horn and did lift throttle.
The fact that K.Lepind took an accusatory position post-accident shows that he did not even realize Neto was there. A sure sign of a lack of situational awareness(nothing presonal, just what I see).

As far as the organization of the league, bunder has offered to his time, effort and resources to give us a privatized series which will eventually recognize someone as a league champion. Something not enough people do, and not enough people appreciate. Instead of criticizing, offer help or suggestions. Running a league with 3 or 4 people is difficult(I say this from experience), let alone just one person. The server issue was an unforseen problem. Noone is to blame for that, and actions were taken as best as could be to keep the race available.

Not pointing any fingers, but these cars with restriction are very controllable, and not too fast. So on a large track such as KY2R there really shouldn't be much contact.

There were some cars that were just way too close, and some that were laggy. Just give each other room. If you can't complete a pass, back off and try again.

The key is to finish, not just finish well.

It is up to us to keeps the standards high to promote this league. Set an example. Good times can be had.

yes very understandable, but i witnessed first hand why he was banned from IHR.

he obviously is not going to learn, as he keeps racking up bans on many servers and then coming here to post complaints without realizing his own transgressions.

banning from my servers is "preventive maintenance".

Servers 2, 3, and 4 have been revamped with a focus on clean racing, not just for points accumulation.

Any newcomers that choose to join servers and crash others will quickly be issued an automatic one week ban.

...and of course nofear88bg always gets banned for no reason.........

Was pretty fun for me, as the restricted NGT's suit me well. The race went from sorting out the competitiors around me, to making an opportunity on a few mistakes from others, to stretching the field out and hotlapping, then realizing i was close on fuel and having to short-shift and let it roll alot, ending up with about .46 % of fuel left.

Next round is going to be even better.

Btw, the server is still set up, ready for round 2 if needed.
